It was organised from Landeck, that's how I perceived it, you know what's going on yourself, you see certain things. It was very well organized. It has to be said. When help arrived in Galtür, from the air, we were very glad, that they came, mountain rescue, the Red Cross alpine police, military, doctors .. I don’t want to forget anyone. It was very well organized, I have to say. Yes, really They really did help us locals, really, in hindsight, you have to say that, I think it was exemplary. The problem were the media, the journalists, television were not allowed into the valley for a week. And after a while they said, they’re either hiding something or there is another reason... And because they couldn’t get to us, I think the newspapers called us "the valley of death"’ and God knows what else. In the newspapers we were put down. This is probably the only thing, which wasn’t done right from our side. Later they did better in Kaprun, at their devasting accident. They learned a lot from Galtür, I also have to say that. I think, if something like that happened to us again, then they’d also do it differently. But it wasn’t like ? with us it wasn’t like, they didn’t want the media or didn’t want to let them into the valley. It was such chaos and we didn’t have enough people. We would have had to cordon off the whole avalanche zone, and to do other things. We would have had to prevent other things .. It wasn’t possible to organize it. Apart from that, someone else decided, on a flying ban for the media into Paznauntal, that no one was allowed in. That wasn’t people from. That was someone else.
